Contracted by SKS to perform Logistics Consulting services, Customs clearance, Application of Duty Free exemption, expediting of shipping instructions and documentation. In addition YN has been contracted by most of the suppliers to arrange on-carriage of cargo from port to site.

Description of Project: |
This is one of China's Key projects and comprises four stages across a nine year period. These stages include:
StageOne
72 000 tpa stainless strip processing facility, with a 20 high cold rolling mill 2 hog skin pass mill, coil grinding line, bright annealing line and cutting and slitting lines (US$294.8 million, operational by 2006), and;
Stage Two
A cold rolling mill extension (starting by end-2001)
Stage Three
An arc furnace, caster and hot rolling mill (operational by 2006) and;
Stage Four
A further expansion to 440,000 tpa (operational by 2008).
The most recent milestone in the internationalisation of the stainless steel business was the establishment of Shanghai Krupp Stainless in December 1997. The joint venture with the Chinese steel company Shanghai Pudong Iron & Steel (Group) Co., Ltd. under the management of Krupp Thyssen Stainless GmbH will supply the Chinese market with stainless steel flat products. The first step is the construction of a cold rolling mill in Shanghai with a capacity of 72,000 tonnes per year. This will be subsequently expanded into an integrated stainless steel mill.
